These Terms and Conditions apply to all diagnostics, assessments, repairs and services provided by Dom’s PC Repairs.
Dom’s PC Repairs is an independent computer repair service. We service desktop computers, laptops and Apple Mac devices. We are not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by any manufacturer.
By submitting a device to Dom’s PC Repairs for assessment or repair, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. Assessments and Diagnostics
All devices are subject to an initial inspection to identify reported faults.
If a fault cannot be identified through basic inspection, a diagnostic fee may apply. This fee covers time, labour and technical testing and will be disclosed before work begins.
If you proceed with the recommended repair, the diagnostic fee may be partially or fully applied to the repair cost at our discretion.
If you choose not to proceed with the repair, all diagnostic fees remain payable and are non refundable.
2. Quotes and Repair Approval
No repair work is performed without your approval.
Approval may be given in person, by phone, SMS or email.
Prices quoted as “from” are estimates only. Final pricing depends on the device model, condition, labour required and parts availability.
Parts pricing may change due to supplier availability or shipping costs. Any price change will be communicated and must be approved before work continues.
By approving a repair, you authorise Dom’s PC Repairs to open the device, remove components, test hardware and install replacement parts as required.
3. Replacement Parts
Repairs may use one or more of the following:
- Brand new parts
- Refurbished or reconditioned parts
- Aftermarket or third party compatible parts
The type of part used will be disclosed prior to installation.
4. Parts Warranty
Warranty Periods
- New parts: 12 months for manufacturing defects only
- Refurbished or aftermarket parts: 30 days
- Customer supplied parts: No warranty
Warranty applies only to the specific part replaced and not to the device as a whole.

- Drops, impacts or physical damage after repair
- Cracked screens or housings
- Liquid or moisture exposure
- Corrosion or oxidation

You are entitled to services performed with reasonable care and skill and fit for their intended purpose.
Where a fault is proven to be caused by our workmanship or a defective replacement part, we will repair or replace the affected part at our discretion.
Australian Consumer Law does not apply to damage caused by misuse, accidents, environmental factors, electrical issues, liquid exposure, third party interference or pre existing faults.
6. Electrical and Power Related Damage
Many device failures are caused by electrical issues.
Warranty is void if damage results from:

- Cheap, incompatible or damaged power adapters
- Faulty power boards or USB accessories
Electrical damage caused outside our control is not covered under warranty.
7. Liquid Damage

Even after cleaning or repair, corrosion may continue to spread and cause future failure.
No long term guarantee is provided for liquid damaged devices.
Any warranty applies only to the specific part replaced at the time of service.
8. Data and Backups
You are responsible for backing up all data before submitting your device.
Some repairs may require system resets, storage replacement or software reinstallation, which can result in data loss.
Dom’s PC Repairs accepts no responsibility for lost data, corrupted files or software issues.
Data recovery is a separate service and is subject to separate terms.
9. Older Devices and Repair Risks
Opening electronic devices may reveal hidden faults not visible prior to repair.
Older devices may have brittle cables, worn connectors or weakened components that can fail during standard repair procedures.
Dom’s PC Repairs is not responsible for age related failures or pre existing conditions that become apparent during repair.
10. Refunds
No refunds are provided for successfully completed repairs.
Change of mind after repair completion does not entitle you to a refund.
Warranty claims are handled on a repair or replacement basis only.
11. Warranty Claims
To make a warranty claim:
- The device must be returned for inspection
- The original repair must be identifiable
- The device must not have been opened or modified by another party
- The device must be in the same configuration as collected
If inspection determines the fault is not covered, the claim will be declined and inspection fees may apply.
